A big thanks to Mark Koopman, Elise Fallson, Stephen Tremp and C.M. Brown for creating this blogfest to allow me to Re-Introduce Myself. I thought I would take this opportunity to announce my updated about page. For those who like to read, it will tell you all you need to know about me.
Six other interesting facts about me:
- I am a law school graduate, but not a lawyer.
- I have several tattoos.
- I lived in China for over 5 years.
- I have three of the coolest nephews.
- I write romantic comedies.
- My 1 year blog anniversary is in February.
For those visual people out there, I figured the best way to re-introduce myself is to post a photo. Hello, I am Sydney Aaliyah Michelle.

I have’t shared a photo of myself on my blog before. I’m happy in this photo and it’s really all you need to know to understand me.
Make sure to jump around and see how others are re-introduce themselves.
Anything else you want to know about me, the Q & A session starts after the video!
Hey Sydney, nice to re-meet you too! Great pic and I bet China was a very interesting place to live 😉
Thanks Mark. China was an adventure.
That’s a beautiful photo! It must have been an interesting experience to live in China. Nice to meet you!
Aww, thanks Tonja. China was great, but I’m happy to be back home.
I bet living in China must have been an amazing experience. The stories you must have… I’ve always wanted to travel to the far east, *sigh* maybe one day. (: Great to meet you!
China was a great experience. I am happy I got the chance to do it. Thanks for stopping by Elise.
Nice to meet you! Gorgeous photo of you, and I love that necklace. 🙂 I have several tattoos, too. They’re addictive.
Always brings greater perspective to actually see what someone looks like so thanks for the photo. I must say that I don’t understand the tattoo thing, but I guess it’s more of a newer generation thing. I never got any myself, but my daughters all have gotten them and most of their friends as well. I guess it’s like my parents didn’t get a lot of things me and my friends were into.
Hey Arlee, Can you imagine any situation where you would consider getting a tattoo? haha. Now you can put a face to the name.
I can certainly imagine, but I doubt whether I’d ever do it. I’ll save the imaginary experience as something to write about I guess.
Great to meet you, Sydney! (I have an MC with that name). Sounds like you’ve had an interesting life thus far! Happy pending bloggiversary!
Hi Hart. Nice to meet you. And, thanks for the well wishes.
Hi Sydney! Beautiful picture. How many tattoos do you have? I just got my first one this year and have ideas for 3 or 4 more.
Hi Megan, I have tattoos on 6 body parts. But, some of them have several little tattoos. I always have a new idea in my head. But, I need to slow down. In February, I am starting Tattoo Tuesday again on my blog. It features writers who have tattoos. Would you like to be featured?
Hey Sydney! Nice to meet you and see that warm, glowing smile.
What a pretty photo of you! Although I don’t have tattoos, I’m often intrigued by people who get them. I’ve started conversations with strangers simply by asking them about the story behind their tattoo.
Hi Sydney! It’s a pleasure to meet you! 🙂
I would love to visit China one day. You do look happy in the photo.
Hi Sydney – great to meet you! I have never been to China (though stopped down in the old Hong Kong airport once briefly), but would love to go.
Hi Sydney!! A please to re-make your acquaintance! 🙂
What a happy picture! I have 3 tattoos and would love to have more or add to at least one that I have, btu I don’t know if I ever will, there’s probably an age where I’m supposed to stop that behavior and it’s coming up quickly! 🙂

Hi Sydney, living in China would be so cool. My kids would love to do that. And thanks for participating in the Re-Introduce Myself Blogfest!
I really enjoyed this blogfest. Your kids would love China. It is so different and the people are really nice.
Hi Sydney. Great to see you! How did I miss this blogfest? Oh well I’m glad you found it. I’ve just had my blogiversary so good luck with yours. You’ve had a great year of writing and supporting others. Thanks for re-introducing yourself!
Hi Lynne, this was a good blogfest. Sorry you missed it, too. I can’t believe it’s been a year.
China is high on my list. My wife is probably going there for an astronomy conference. The Chinese are pouring money into science these days. They even plan to start a moon base in a few years!
Hi Sean, your wife will have fun. China is big into science and technology. You just have to have money in china to take advantage of it.
Hi Sydney, nice to re-meet you!
I bet that was a really cool experience to live in China!
It was an adventure.
Hi Sydney. Nice to re-meet you.
China? For 5 years? Must have been quite an experience…
Have you ever written a story in which a tattoo is the focal point?
Hi, Sydney! Where in China did you live? My brother-in-law and his wife live in Shanghai.
Most of the time I spent there was in Shenzhen, but the last six months, I lived in Shanghai. I really enjoyed Shanghai. I would live there again. Great mix of Chinese and western culture. What does your brother in law do in China?
Sounds like you’ve had a fun life so far! Hope there’s more fun to come. 🙂
Me, too. HAHA. Thanks Shallee.
Nice to meet you! That really is a lovely picture 🙂
Thanks Laura. Nice to meet you, too.
I think it’s pretty cool that you’ve lived in China. Definitely somewhere I’d like to visit.
Great to meet you Sydney. It must have been amazing to live in China for 5 years. Great picture.
