CassaStorm by Alex J. Cavanaugh – It’s Finally Here!

CassaStorm by Alex J Cavanaugh

Comment on Alex’s blog this week for a chance to win a Cassa mug, mousepad, magnet, and swag!

When Alex volunteered to answer our questions, I’m not sure he knew what he was getting into. It was a great idea in order to engage his fans and allowing us to be a part of the most anticipated book release of 2013. My question:

What technological advancement in the Cassa series is most likely to be invented in our lifetime? What is the least likely?

We already have computer tablets in the form of iPads, although ours aren’t connected to a network at all times and no matter where we are. That would be handy. I can also see us developing spaceships with full gravity. (If we work fast enough.)

Sadly, I doubt we’ll ever see teleporters in our lifetime. Bummer.

Bummer is right. I would pay big money for a teleporter. No more planes and no more traffic!

From the Amazon Best Selling Series!

A storm gathers across the galaxy…

Commanding the Cassan base on Tgren, Byron thought he’d put the days of battle behind him. As a galaxy-wide war encroaches upon the desert planet, Byron’s ideal life is threatened and he’s caught between the Tgrens and the Cassans.

After enemy ships attack the desert planet, Byron discovers another battle within his own family. The declaration of war between all ten races triggers nightmares in his son, threatening to destroy the boy’s mind.

Meanwhile the ancient alien ship is transmitting a code that might signal the end of all life in the galaxy. And the mysterious probe that almost destroyed Tgren twenty years ago could return. As his world begins to crumble, Byron suspects a connection. The storm is about to break, and Byron is caught in the middle…

Special Edition – Tattoo Thursday and Release Day for The Faerie Prince

2940044526976_p0_v1_s260x420

It’s release day for The Faerie Prince, the second novel in the Creepy Hollow series! Woohoo! If you’re keen to read it, you can find it at the following places online:

As a special treat, I want to welcome the author of The Faerie Prince, Rachel Morgan to a special edition of Tattoo Tuesday Thursday.  Congrats on your new release.  Here are your five questions:

1.     How old were you when you got your first tattoo?
20
2.     What made you want to get your first tattoo?
I wanted something on my body that symbolized my faith.
3.     How many tattoos do you have? If only one, do you want more?
Only one. I’ve thought about getting others since then, but I don’t want them badly enough to actually go out and get them done!
4.     What is your tattoo story?  Tell me the most recent or your favorite.
The tattoo on my ankle is the outline of a fish, or ichthys in Greek. The actual Greek word has five letters. These five letters are the same as the first letters of the words Jesus Christ God’s Son Saviour. I think it’s pretty cool that one little symbol can have so much meaning 🙂
Tattoo Ichthys

5.     Tattoos on a significant other, like or dislike?  Why?
I’ve never considered that before… My significant other doesn’t have any, and I’m happy with him that way 🙂

Guardian trainee Violet
Fairdale is just weeks away from one of the most important occasions of
her life: graduation. After messing up big time by bringing a human
into the fae realm, Vi needs to step up her game and forget about Nate
if she hopes to graduate as the top guardian of her year. Everything
would be fine if she wasn’t forced to partner with Ryn, her ex-friend,
ex-enemy, current ‘sort of friend’. They might be trying to patch up
their relationship, but does she really want to spend a week undercover
with him for their final assignment? On top of that, the possibly insane
Unseelie Prince is still on the loose, free to ‘collect’ as many
specially talented faeries as he can find—and Vi is still at the top of
his list. Add in faerie queens, enchanted storms, complicated
not-just-friends feelings, and a murder within the Guild itself, and
graduation is about to become the least of Vi’s problems.

In celebration, The Faerie Guardian is on sale for a limited time!

exhalebannerCongratulations to Jennifer Snyder on the release of her YA Contemporary Romance Exhale.

BLURB:

Inhaling in life is easy. It’s the exhaling—the letting go— that’s the hard part.

Katie Elliot has always known the Conner twins. For years she secretly pined after one, while playfully averting the advances of the other. Once upon a time, she was fine with that. Then came the moment when her twin of preference kissed her and changed everything.

As if realizing love can be complex—even when it’s reciprocated—isn’t hard enough, tragedy strikes, tearing Katie and the boy she’s always desired apart. Finding herself torn between love and guilt, Katie must learn when it’s acceptable to let go—when it’s finally okay to exhale.

GENRE: Young Adult Contemporary Romance

Yeah, But What’s The Book About?

An unusual young woman and fledgling journalist, Luna has various restrictive oddities, all of which prevent any kind of physical intimacy. Abusive parents take pleasure in Luna’s misery and isolation, yet Luna strives to make them proud, to finally earn their elusive love – something she craves almost as much as the painless touch of a lover.

When she learns of a tragic story involving the kidnap of baby Esta, she jumps at the chance to investigate, dragging her Shadows along for the ride within the murky depths of her mind.

Meanwhile, a dark stranger visits Luna’s dreams and stalks her reality. In lieu of the real thing, their intimate moments excite rather than terrify. Nestled within his presence, she begins to sense an urgent message of danger – a message she struggles to interpret, until they finally meet….

Her investigations lead Luna to a vibrant seaside town, hiding copycat aliens and an underworld of Supernaturals. Here, she comes face-to-face with her own, terrifying identity. Confronted with life-changing decisions and the harshest of truths, Luna questions her sanity, searching for logic, feeling deceived by both.

Is Luna trapped in a newfound supernatural world, or within her own delusions? And will anyone care enough to save her?

She uses her imagination to write short horror stories as well as poetry, but stumbled into writing her first novel after falling in love with Luna, a character in a short story she wrote back in 2010. That story grew into Finding Esta, the beginning of Luna’s journey to self-discovery.

Finding Esta is her début novel and the first of The Supes Series.

She also has one short story published ‘The Dead Party’ & two poems published in anthologies.
