I wanted to dedicate this post to my my A to Z Leader Nicole at The MadLab Post and one of my favorite bloggers and an A to Z host Alex Cavanaugh at Alex Cavanaugh.com. The two of them are great examples of how to blog about movies.
I also want to list others who have movie related themes or post for A to Z: S.L. Hennessy at Pensuasion Nicole Pyles at World of My Imagination: Best Crying Scenes in a Movie Lynda R. Young at W.I.P. It Arlee at Tossing It Out Tasha at Tasha’s ThinkingsI don’t remember when I feel in love with movies. I have been a movie fan all my life. Movies have always been and will always be my favorite escape, figuratively and literally. Hint to family and friends, if you can’t find me, if I don’t answer my phone, if I am MIA for a while, most likely, I’ve snuck off to the movies.
While I don’t see movies multiple times in the theater like I did when I was younger (Titanic, Speed and The Matrix – 6 times each in the theater), I can still watch my favorite movies over and over again.

A movie filmed in Peterborough? I hope not.. tee hee.. Love your post. We’re half way there..
I know. We made it 1/2 way.
Office Space was set in Dallas? I always thought it was set in Austin. I know it was filmed there, maybe I just assumed filming=setting.
Partially shot in Dallas, but your right set in Austin.
Thanks, Sydney!
Bet they wish they didn’t have to claim Batman and Robin.
I’m just seeing this while perusing around looking for A to Z stuff and wanted to say thanks for the shout out! Also, I’m glad that you listed some blogs who are participating in the challenge this year and blogging about movies. Aside from Arlee, I’m not familiar with any of those other blogs, so you just helped me weed out some of the blogs on the list that I may want to visit 🙂
“No Country for Old Men” is one of the best movies that I’ve ever watched, to date. In Philadelphia, the “Rocky” franchise gets big buzz and play because they are both set in Philly and also filmed in Philly but I am still not shy about the fact that I haven’t watched ANY of those “Rocky” movies. Other films that are set in and filmed in the area include “The Sixth Sense” and Oprah Winfrey used our convention center to shoot “Beloved” remember back when I was trying to study film. Still, my most favorite movies that came out of this area include “Philadelphia” with Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington and “Law Abiding Citizen” with Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler.
Our current Mayor (Michael Nutter) is actually seen in one of the scenes of “Law Abiding Citizen” and the theater was in a sorta uproar when that scene happened….I was among one of the vocal audience members at that time…partly because I think he needs to leave the movie appearances to the professionals in Hollywood and keep to his job…which is overseeing the city, not filming movie! But hey, I guess a guy’s gotta have his fifteen minutes….
