Happy book birthday to One Lucky Night!
One night can change everything…
The crew at Boston’s Brazen Head Pub hasn’t been very lucky in love. Can a mysterious visitor inspire them to look past old hurts and misconceptions and give romance a chance? One Lucky Night is a collection of five sexy interwoven novelettes by Aria Kane, Grace Teague, Ana Blaze, Constance Phillips, and Melinda Dozier.
Lucky Break by Aria Kane
Four years ago, chef Derek Chase walked out of Andrea Rivera’s life after a tragedy neither of them were prepared to deal with. When she’s called to the Brazen Head to repair a dishwasher, old sparks ignite buried feelings.
Lucky Star by Grace Teague
When her life is threatened by a mugger, Charlotte Price realizes she’s in love with her best friend, Tommy Leung. The Brazen Head seems like the perfect neutral place to confess her feelings, but nothing goes according to plan.
A New Tune by Ana Blaze
When it comes to dating, Holly Hall has one unbreakable rule: no musicians. Not even gorgeous ones. Especially not gorgeous ones. Dating them only leads to heartbreak. So why did she let singer-songwriter Cian O’Neill kiss her? And why is she thinking about doing it again?
Lexi’s Chance by Constance Phillips
As a bartender, Sean Whelan meets all kinds of women every night, but none turn his head the way that Lexi has. She’s been playing cat and mouse with him for weeks. Tonight, Sean’s determined to get Lexi to quit teasing and take a real chance on him.
Drink or Dare by Melinda Dozier
A bachelorette party Drink or Dare game pairs paramedic students, Rachel Robertson and Killian Whelan, in a flirting match. Soon, the dares threaten to turn their academic rivalry into something much more.

I have control issues. It’s the only way to explain why I freak out when things don’t go according to plan. It’s the reason I have been a pest to the people I’ve entrusted with certain parts of this production/marketing process for my novel. It’s the reason that I have to count to ten and take deep breaths before dealing with things that don’t happen or are cancelled.
I understand now why I am an indie author, because God knew I couldn’t handled turning my stuff over with no say in how it turns out in the end. I don’t care how much of an advance … ok, that’s not exactly true.
Anyway, I just wanted to reveal my control issues to the world, so people will be aware of why I react the way I do when things go wrong. I am working on it, but if anyone has any tips on how to control (haha) my control issues, I would truly appreciate it.
Do you have control issues? How do you deal with them in this unpredictable and out of control world we live in?
I so want to be like Rachel Morgan when I grow up. Her Creepy Hollow books are some of my favorites and I didn’t read much fantasy books before hers. Now she has a new series in New Adult called The Trouble Series. I have read Forgiven, the novella prequel and it looks like Rachel is taking on us on another cool ride.
The Trouble Series by Rachel Morgan
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance
Synopsis:
Four new heroines are about to enter the book world in this romance series full of swoon-worthy guys, comical moments, witty dialogue, and hot kisses…
#1: The Introvert
Sarah doesn’t talk to strangers, but the cute guy sitting next to her on the plane might have to be the exception. Hours of random conversation later, Sarah thinks Aiden could be her happily ever after. The trouble is, he’s gone now—and she has no idea how to find him. ~ The Trouble with Flying
#2: The Nerd
Livi sees her first year of university as a chance to redefine herself and finally fit into the popular crowd. But how far will she go before realizing that what she really wants has always been right in front of her? ~ The Trouble with Flirting
#3: The Fraud
After a stupid miscommunication, everyone in Andi’s new res thinks she’s secretly dating Damien, boyfriend of resident queen bee Charlotte. Since the rumor’s already out there and refuses to be squashed, Andi and Damian decide to keep up the facade in the hopes of snagging the attention of the people they really want to be with. ~ The Trouble with Faking
#4: The Artist
With exam stress, family wedding craziness, and a spiraling relationship with her boyfriend, Sophie finds herself sucked further and further into the darkness of depression. The only thing making her remotely happy these days is her art—and the guy on the other side of the internet who seems to really get her. But is that enough to keep her from falling off the edge entirely? ~ The Trouble with Falling

AUTHOR BIO:
Rachel Morgan was born in South Africa and spent a large portion of her childhood living in a fantasy land of her own making. After completing a degree in genetics, she decided science wasn’t for her—after all, they didn’t approve of made-up facts. These days she spends much of her time immersed in fantasy land once more, writing fiction for young adults and those still young at heart.
domineering, possessive, dangerously handsome, and a playboy. These are
all of the characteristics on Rebecca Gellar’s Run-Like-Hell list for
men, but she’s about to meet the man who’s the epitome of these and
more…
After breaking off her engagement with Hollywood actor
Miles Storm, Rebecca is ready for a change of scenery in her life and
in her bed. So when the opportunity to work for StoneHaven Publishing,
one of New York City’s most respectable publishing empires presents
itself, Rebecca doesn’t hesitate moving to the Big Apple.
Convinced
she can show the owner of StoneHaven Publishing that she has the “right
stuff,” Rebecca agrees to a six month trial as the personal assistant
to the owner’s playboy son, Nicholas StoneHaven. This is her big chance.
If she can just get through these six months without strangling
Nicholas with his Armani tie, she’ll be okay – easier said than done.
Nicholas is the last person Rebecca thought she’d find herself pining
for, especially when he hits every category under her list.
