Quick post today. I have a busy day, but had to mention another of my favorite topics. Movies. Unless this is your first visit to SydneyAaliyah.com, you know I love movies. Movies work their way into my writing organically. I can’t help it. Here a few movie references in Another New Life.
Can you name these three movies?
Please add Another New Life to your Goodreads list.
Well the second one isn’t exactly difficult. ^_~ I’m not sure about the first one, but the third one sounds really familiar, though I can’t nail it down.
The second one is easy, but is it? I will reveal in a comment later on. The other two are 80’s.
I feel a bit stupid – I can’t name any one of them, but I thought I should be honest about it. 🙂

Don’t feel bad. Come back for the big reveal. haha.
dont know the first, the second is the first Star Wars movie, the Phantom Menace, and the last is so familiar but i can’t think of it! i can totally picture it… love movie references =)
happy f day!
The second one has to be a Star Wars film. Third is from The Breakfast Club.
You got those’s right. What about
the first one?
I KNOW THE THIRD ONE! Breakfast Club. 🙂
Correct Nicole. Nice job. Haha
Oh, you’ve stumped me. I know the middle one refers to Star Wars’ characters. but it could be in jest n another movie. 🙂 Thanks for visiting my blog, today! 🙂 Good luck with the A to Z 🙂
Sydney, I am stumped. I don’t know any of the movies ;(
Sydney, I am stumped. I don’t know any of the movies 😦 Thanks for the visit and the comments.
They’ll nailed the others so I take a stab at number one…Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrence with Davis Bowie…by any chance?
On the A to Z Challenge Maggie@expatbrazil.
Then again wasn’t there a Mr.Lawrence in Karate Kid? who you really have got my grey matter working overtime…cheers

Original karate kid is right. 80’s films were the only thing her mother and MC shared.
The middle movies is a Star Wars episode, but the other two could be anything as far as I’m concerned. I’m not really a movie buff. I recently read a book (Until I Find You by John Irving), which I found irritating, because he refers to movies throughout.
In case others don’t read all the comments:
1. Original Karate Kid
2. Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace
3. The Breakfast Club
I love movies.
