The Great and Powerful Theme Reveal Bloghop

2014 A to Z Challenge

I can’t believe I’m going to do it. WriterlySam is asking me to reveal my super secret theme for 2014 A to Z Challenge. There is a certain commitment associated with revealing your theme ahead of time. I bet that is why she is making us do it.  Like once it’s out there, you kind of have to follow through and participate in A to Z. Well, here it goes.

My Theme for 2014 A to Z Challenge is Another New Life by Sydney Aaliyah Michelle. Yes, that’s me and that’s my debut novel. I am going to spend an entire month, 26th posts, telling you all about it.

I have a few interesting post all ready to go, like  B – By the numbers and K – Kiss. My personal favorite, I – It’s Cover Reveal Time when I reveal my cover. See what I did there. haha.

I figure by the end of the month, you will either be completely sick of it or you can’t wait to read it.

If the stars are aligned correctly and everything happens the way it’s supposed to happen between then and now, on May 1st, you can buy it.

Wish me luck! For more information on Another New Life, check it out on Goodreads.

There’s still time to sign up for the challenge, here.

  1. Congratulations on your debut novel! So exciting! I look forward to reading more about your novel!

I didn’t think I had a theme, really, but it’s different areas of research I’ve done for my novels. I haven’t given it a theme name though. 😀

  2. Wonderful, Sydney! Another fiction-related challenge–and yours is perfectly planned to boost the release of the novel. Congratulations on that, too–you must be over the moon 🙂 I’ll be looking forward to finding out about it during April.

    Thanks for visiting over at

earlier, and I hope you’ll be back to connect during April. Since we’re both doing fiction stuff, both promoting books, it’ll be interesting to exchange feedback during and after the challenge. Look forward to it!

      1. you said you will tell all about your book in these 26 posts – so a reveal (this post) about a reveal(on the book-your challenge theme)

  3. Good luck with your book, Sydney – there seem to be loads of us combining huge projects in with the A2Z this year. I’m also launching a book at the start of May – with cover reveal for Bravo Victor on April 2nd! B for Bravo 😀 Hope your launch goes well!

  4. I feel you on this whole “theme reveal” thing that Sam and the other members of #TeamDamyanti cooked up. Like you said, once it’s out there, then the pressure is on. It’s like we’re IN now and can’t look back. Funny thing, earlier this afternoon, I considered changing my theme to production notes on my film (since I’m eventually going to need to write them anyway sometime this year)…which I know would be kinda awkward….given that I’ve already revealed my plans for the first one this morning, lol.

Crafting your theme around your debut novel is a great way to go, as it allows you to essentially kill two birds with one stone. You get content for the challenge and also get to build anticipation for the release. Now, I just gotta figure out how in the world your cover reveal is going to work withing my blog post. I think I’ll have to channel the Ninja Captain Alex’s blogging style for inspiration.

    Cheers to you 🙂

  6. Wow! I’m interested to see what you have to say for every single letter. Looking forward to the creativity, and getting familiar with your book!

  7. I think it’s a great idea! Looking forward to learning more about it. I know what you mean about putting your theme out there…then you gotta do it. But then again, I already gotta do it…so not as big a deal for me.
So many blogs, so little time. I sure hope to make it over for as many of your posts as possible…

  8. What a great blog you have! Funny, I’m also doing the A to Z challenge for April and every day I question my sanity, when, I too, have a book coming out next month. I will also be blogging mostly about my book. Maybe we could connect and guest post once for each other 🙂

  9. I love finding new Authors and learning about there books so I can not wait to see more of what you write in the challenge.
