It’s finally here!!!

“All right, all right,” he says, smiling and holding his palm up to stop me. Tomato juice is dripping from the top of his head down his cheeks, getting caught in the smile lines by his mouth. I can feel it running down my face, too, and I should be gagging, but I’m not.

I open my mouth to tell him how cute he looks even with juice all over him, but a light ploof! hits the center of the tub between our bodies, and I stare down at my froggy loofah, now covered in red.

“Oh no!” I frown, plucking the sponge up by the froggy’s arm, then looking up to the shower caddy over Eric’s head. Our splash war must’ve knocked my poor froggy right off his little perch. “My loofah.”

“That’s what it’s called!” Eric slaps the top of his knee, getting more juice on both of us. “I’ve been staring at that thing since you moved in, trying to remember what the hell people call it.”

A small bubble of laughter escapes through my slight frown. “Why?”

“That thing is creepy.”

I gasp. “It is not. It’s cute.” My lip pokes out as I look at the juice soaking into the blue frog’s face. “And now it’s ruined.”

He takes the loofah from my fingers, an adorable pinched look on his face.

“I don’t know how you can wash yourself with this,” he says, pulling at the leg poking from the big green sponge part.

“It’s soft on my sensitive lady parts.” I laugh as his face goes red again. I expect him to drop the loofah back in my hand—or throw it at me—but he doesn’t. He keeps pulling at it as if it’s the weirdest, yet most fascinating thing in the world.

“Is it really ruined?” he asks, tone suddenly nowhere near his usual playfulness. He actually looks worried about my sponge.

“It’s like a buck, Eric.” I adjust in the tub again as the juice creeps into nooks and crannies of my body I had no idea existed till now. “I can get another one tomorrow. Maybe an even creepier one just for you.”

I try to wink, but I’ve never been good at that. He sort of laughs, but his eyes go back to the froggy. He runs his thumb over the eyeballs, wiping the juice from it. I thought I knew Eric pretty well. But as I watch him stare at my loofah, head slightly cocked to the side, I realize I have no clue what he’s thinking. And that’s totally okay. The anticipation of finding out is better.

“Only a dollar?” His eyes lift to mine.

“Or two. Depending on where you go.”

His lips purse and he nods, then plunges the sponge into the juice. Before I can smack him for that, he pulls it from the bath and wrings it out over my head. My jaw drops to my knees.

“Oh, you are so dead.”

Buy Me!

In this electrifying novel from Cassie Mae, two close friends surprise themselves by shifting from platonic love to sexual attraction.

Eric Matua has one friend—his best friend and childhood sweetheart, who needs a place to stay for the summer. Mia Johnson has thousands of friends—who live in her computer. Along with her email chats and Facebook notifications, Mia also devours romance novels, spending countless hours with fictional characters, dreaming of her own Romeo to sweep her off her feet. When she starts receiving supersweet messages from a stranger who thinks she’s someone else, Mia begins to believe that real love is possible outside her virtual world.

When the two friends become roommates, Mia finds herself falling harder than she ever thought she could. But Eric keeps his desires locked away, unsure of himself and his ability to give his best friend what she deserves in a boyfriend. As her advances are continually spurned, Mia splits her time between Eric and her computer. But she soon realizes she’s about to lose the only real thing she’s ever had.

About the Author

Cassie Mae (who dawns the name Becca Ann on occasion) is the author of a few hundred… okay, maybe not that many… books. Some of which became popular for their quirky titles, characters, and stories. She likes writing about nerds, geeks, the awkward, the fluffy, the short, the shy, the loud, the fun.

Since publishing her bestselling debut, Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend, she has published and sold books to Random House, Swoon Romance, and Spencer Hill Press. She has a favorite of all her book babies, but no, she won’t tell you what it is. (Mainly because it changes depending on the day.)

Along with writing, Cassie likes to binge watch Teen Wolf and The Big Bang Theory. She can quote Harry Potter lines quick as a whip. And she likes kissing her hubby, but only if his facial hair is trimmed. She also likes cheesecake to a very obsessive degree.

Tattoo Tuesday – H. R. Willaston

I have flaked on Tattoo Tuesday for the last two week, but not on purpose. I have some great authors and bloggers coming up, but when there is editing to do, nothing else get’s through. So, I am extremely thankful for H.R. Willaston and per patience.

H.R, your five questions start now:

1.   How old were you when you got your first tattoo?
I got my first tattoo when I was 19.  It’s a cross with a rose in the center of it, over my heart.  I got it for my grandmother and plan on having rosary beads added to it with the dates of her birth and death.
2.     How many tattoos do you have? If only one, do you want more?
I have four tattoos.  The cross I mentioned above, a ladybug on my right ankle (which was my students’ favorite when I was teaching preschool), two dragons nose to nose with their tails entwined on my left ankle (my husband has the same on his calve.) and my Andy Qwinn tattoo on the inside of my left wrist.  I’m planning on getting at least one more (water falling onto and down my right shoulder).

3.     What inspired you to get your first tattoo or favorite tattoo?  Tell me your tattoo story.
I love all my tattoos but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the dragons.  My husband and I decided to get matching tattoos and we chose dragons.  We didn’t plan it this way, but the weekend we got them turned into a dragon weekend.  We got the tattoos Friday and on Saturday night we went to see the How To Train Your Dragon live show.  In my book Future Letters the characters Lil and Dylan get matching dragon tattoos but theirs were over their hearts and one dragon was green, the other was blue.  Our dragons are blue and purple.
4.     Tattoos on a significant other, like or dislike? Explain why?
I love my husband’s tattoos.  He was with me when I got my first one (we were just friends then) but he didn’t get his until a few years ago and I’m so glad he finally did it.  I like tracing my fingers over the blue horseshoe on his arm (he’s a Indianapolis Colts fan) and looking at the dragons makes me smile.  He’s planning to get more too – which is more than fine with me.
5.     Do the characters in your books have tattoos? If so, pick a character and tell me his or her tattoo story? Why was this story incorporated in the book?
In my book Nine Days the main character Andy Qwinn gets a tattoo while she’s in Hawaii.  She goes to support a friend and ends up getting one herself.  It’s a purple heart with ocean waves crashing inside it.  Andy loves everything about the water from swimming in it on her school’s swim team to studying the animals who live in the ocean so she can protect them and their habitats as a marine biologist.  I got the same tattoo when I was first writing the book.  For Andy, the tattoo symbolizes freedom and the strength and courage to seize her freedom and allow her to be herself – which is something she can’t fully do at home.  I got the tattoo at a time when I needed to be reminded that I could be as strong and brave as Andy, that I’d already survived so much and that I could survive what was going on at the time as well.  A picture of this tattoo is on the back cover of the book (an on the title page of the ebook).  The circling seals on the front cover represent the two monk seals – Pil and Popo – in the book as well as her relationship with Kai (sorry, I can’t explain that last part.  You’ll have to read the book 😉 ).  When she goes with her friend to get his tattoo she agrees to get a henna one.  She gets the circling seals on her shoulder blade.
All the art work for Nine Days was done by Big Mike Cardenas, a tattoo artist at Clovis Ink in California.  He’s done both of my husband’s tats and my most recent two.
Another great couple tattoo and I am waiting for the Cowboys to get back to the Super Bowl before I get my blue star tattoo. I might be waiting awhile.
Thanks so much H.R.

Book Blitz – Forever Sheltered by Deanna Roy

The Pink Monster got me. Check this one out!!!!??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Synopsis:

The newest book in the bestselling Forever Series is out – Forever Sheltered!

Tina would rather sew up her girl parts with dental floss than go on a second date with a man. She’s been dumped enough to know not to get attached.

So how DOES she end up half-naked in Surgical Suite B with Dr. Darion

  1. Darion has a lot to hide. His baby sister is the only family he has left, and he’s not leaving her treatment to some incompetent hack.
  2. But now he’s breaking every hospital rule imaginable. He lied about his sister so he can manage her care, and now he’s banging the art therapy teacher between patient rounds like a fraternity boy at a keg party.

But Dr. Darion and Tina have one thing going for them – a fierce passion for each other that just might obliterate all their doubts, and solve all their problems.

Forever Sheltered includes many favorite characters from Forever Innocent and Forever Loved, as well as the much-anticipated wedding of Gavin and Corabelle.

Sexy love couple

The voice that came from the door was like an icy blast. “Do you have any more personal questions that are completely out of line for your relationship with my patient?”

I whipped around. Dr. Darion stood in the door, glowering like a gargoyle.

“I—I was just asking about a song Cynthia performed for me yesterday.”

His eyes narrowed. I wondered what I possibly saw in him before, because now he was clearly the biggest jerk in the universe.

He snatched my arm and dragged me from the room.

I tried to wrench free as he moved us down the hall. “What is going ON with you?” I asked.

“Hush,” he said.

We turned down a narrow corridor, and he buzzed us through a door with his ID. I had never been in this part of the hospital and tried to figure out where we were. The back side of ICU, maybe.

He shouldered open a door marked Surgical Suite B. The room was dim and empty. Boxes were stacked along one wall, and it had an unused smell to it, stuffy and antiseptic. A pair of gurneys were pushed together next to a line of cabinets.

“What is this about?” I asked, jerking my arm out of his grasp.

“Why were you in Cynthia’s room asking questions?”

“Why are you dragging me through the hospital like a lunatic?”

We were only inches apart, me defiantly on my toes to try to eliminate the advantage of his height.

“You have no business questioning my patients or their family.”

Oh, I wanted to punch him. My hand curled into a fist. “You are an awful man, Darion Marks.”

His Adam’s apple bobbed up, then down, like he had swallowed something nasty. “I’m sorry I dragged you down here,” he said.

I shoved at his chest. “Sorry? You just embarrassed the hell out of me! No telling who saw that.”

I pushed him again. I was really in a fury. “Are you TRYING to get me fired?”

The contact between us sparked, like a match being lit. I forgot why I was mad. He was so freaking close. He wore cologne, just a hint of it. He smelled like heaven. My heart sped up. Crap.

I tried to think how to get out of this. I needed to just walk away. We were alone in a dark room.

Shoot. I could already tell my body was getting ahead of my head. It was calculating distance. Seeing how far I could push this man. How close I could get.

Remembering how long it had been since my last tryst with anybody.

I would have to do the one-and-done with Dr. Darion after all.

I leaned in, just to see what he would do.
